Warner's Portage Repair Service opened for business in 1988 when the Warner family (Mark, Denise, Sheri and Mark Jr.) purchased Portage Repair Service.
There has been an automotive repair shop at this location since Eiler's Garage started around 1954, Mr. Eilers retired in 1978 and Gerald Simon  purchased and  continued the business as Portage Repair Service. Mr. Simon sold the business to the Warner family.

I was always interested in working with my hands, especially on cars (even if they where just toys at the time). My Mother often retells the story of how I traded my lunch for a car while in the third grade (it was a toy and I still have it).

I began my professional technician career in 1978,  after graduation,  working at Jim's Sunoco in Creve Coeur while attending the University of Missouri at St Louis. I knew that I loved working on cars and thought how great it would be if I could make a career of doing this.

Married in 1982 and working as a technician in St. Charles I was hired by the Missouri State Highway Patrol to maintain and repair their vehicles. I knew  then  that  I wanted a shop of my own .  In 1988 that dream developed into Warner's Portage Repair Service!

I collect petrolania and automobilia, Guns, and  enjoy boating with my family and friends. I am an active member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Parish and have been active in the Boy Scouts of America for more then 40 years.

ASE certified technician David Graham has been employed by us for over 9 years. David is a graduate of Fort Zumwalt and Rankin Tech . He worked his internship in our shop while attending Ranken Technical Institute and after graduating stayed for 3 years. Then he moved to Pennsylvania and was employed at a Western Star dealership as a heavy duty truck mechanic for 3 more years. David returned to Missouri in 2008 after getting married. He has two children.

Sergeant Mark Warner Jr.
Missouri Army National Guard

I was always all about shooting guns as a kid and took the obsession with me when I joined the Army National Guard in 2006. Since then I have been to many different schools and many certifications and have focused a major part of my knowledge on weapon systems.

I was deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom 2008-2009 as a Military Police Officer and was the rear vehicle 50cal gunner first in a HMMWV (Humvee) then a MRAP (Mine resistant ambush protected) vehicle. Our mission was PTT Police Transition Training, we were in charge of several different Iraqi Police stations.

I now love to go shooting as much as possible and learn as much as I can about Firearms.
